Carl E. Mease, VMD

Carl E. Mease, VMD is the owner, founder and supervising veterinarian at the Oxford Veterinary Hospital. While growing up in rural Lancaster County,Pennsylvania, he always had a special attachment to animals. After receiving an undergraduate degree in zoology from Penn State University, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1976, establishing the Oxford Veterinary Hospital in 1979. He has since been dedicated to providing affordable quality care customized to the individual needs of his patients and their owners.
Dr. Mease enjoys his chosen career because he understands and shares the bond between people and pets that clients bring to the clinic every day. (Happiness is a wagging tail or purr.) He is interested in all facets of small animal veterinary medicine and surgery with special interest in modern veterinary dentistry, allergy related ear disease, and internal medicine. He sets high goals for himself and his staff in order to deliver the service and care his clients and patients deserve.
Dr. Mease lives in Lincoln University with his wife, Lesley, with whom he shares his love of animals and nature travel. Dr. Mease has two sons who he is very proud of. Sam isa medical doctor and orthopedic surgeon specializing in trauma surgery. Zach, also in the medical field, is a physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
When not providing care to small animals, Dr. Mease enjoys maintaining the gardens and grounds of his home and caring for multiple dogs, cats and horses. He enjoys many other outdoor activity such as bicycling, canoeing, scuba diving, and hiking-anything that keeps him close to nature.
